Fixed-fee pricing model is when we estimate the cost of a project by calculating the number of hours required by the project and the hourly rate. This fixed amount is billed to the client in increments (25% or 50% upfront and the final amount due at the completion of the project).
The fixed-fee model works better for clients who have a budget to adhere to. It helps clients know exactly how much a project will cost, and when they will need to submit payment.
Sometimes projects change and evolve as we begin working together. If things change, it can lead to our initial estimate being inaccurate very quickly. We call this a "Change Order." This means you're changing the scope of our agreement, and could be charged more than we initially agreed to. In some cases, we'll ask you to sign an amendment.
Creativity is endless. It's our job to be your expert and guide you through the the design process. Unless otherwise specified, a fixed fee project includes three design reviews. You'll have the opportunity to discuss the design, provide feedback, and request changes. After three design rounds, if you need additional revisions, this is considered out of scope from our fixed fee agreement. Additionally, once you approve the design, any changes thereafter are considered change orders. If either of these instances occur during your project, we'll stop and communicate what's happening to determine next steps.
After you approve the final design, we'll start web development to bring your design to life. Coding websites takes 4-6 weeks. If you're unhappy with any design elements, it may be considered out of scope. Design elements should be decided while in the design phase of your project.
If you hire an architect and contractor to build a home, the contractor builds to the architect's specifications. Our web developers use this same process to build websites. Both you and us hold each other accountable to avoid changing design or specifications after web development has started.
We can't guarantee your site will be first on Google. However, we follow guidelines set by search engine companies like Google, and uses tactics from 3rd party case studies to improve website rankings. Our goal is always to improve a client's business.
